Pigment dye applies dye to the surface of the fabric, instead of soaking the fabric in dye. This method creates a softer, more vintage-looking garment with a slightly rougher texture. You might also see some color variations, and the color tends to fade more easily with washing compared to traditionally dyed fabrics.
